As Unitarians, we affirm and promote "respect for the interdependent web of all existence." Are we talking here about having respect for the members, the participants in the web, or for the web itself? Are we inclined to confuse interconnectedness and Unity? Unity implies oneness. Is this precisely what interconnectedness implies? If we're interconnected are we one? If we're one, are we interconnected? Either answer leads to a significant discussion both of which I want to examine. Is Unity a Myth? If it isn't, let us together make the case....one way or the other.
